Crittenden Estate 2021 Tempranillo

Crittendens have been making wine around Dromana in the Mornington Peninsula since the early 80s. Dad Garry is a true pioneer. His son Rollo inherited great expectations.

Us consumers are fortunate beneficiaries.

This Tempranillo from King Valley fruit is typical Crittenden: elegant and easy.

If you know Rioja, it also resonates Spain.

When varietal character joins with the right dirt and provenance, the ground is laid for magic to happen.

Go full Spanish and make a paella? Heavy on the chorizo?

A simple garlic infused and smoked paprika rub lamb leg roast with patatas brava?

Or penne pasta with fried eggplant, onion, garlic, tomato and scamorza?

Even a fat slice of Manchego and rustic bread will do.

Best to air it a bit before guzzling.
